ID card. 5 The familiar shape—if you use the right amount of strabismus—is because it shares a lot with ID.4. Both have the same wheelbase and overall length, but the ID.5 has a coupe-like roof, separating it from the more traditional ID.4.

Although ID.5 is based on the company's MEB architecture, it is not a complete copy of ID.4 under the metal plate. Unlike ID.4, ID.5 is equipped with only one battery-a 77 kWh battery pack. It is paired with one of the three motor outputs, depending on the interior-ID.5 Pro, ID.5 Pro Performance or ID.5 GTX.

Both Pro and Pro Performance have rear-mounted electric motors. ID.5 Pro can provide 171 horsepower (128 kilowatts) and a time of 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in 10.4 seconds. Pro Performance provides 201 horsepower (150 kilowatts) of power and takes 8.4 seconds to reach 62 mph. Both have a top speed of 99 mph (160 km/h). ID.5 GTX adopts dual-motor all-wheel drive configuration, which can output 295 horsepower (220 kilowatts), soaring the EV crossover at a top speed of 111 mph (180 km/h) to 62 mph in 6.3 seconds .
