The Polish government has strengthened its border with Belarus and extended a barbed wire barrier along the border to protect its territory from illegal immigrants during the ongoing confrontation. The Ministry of Defense of the European Union member states released a new video on Wednesday showing the installation of barbed wire and immigrants throwing stones at the Polish border guards, with the caption: "Today I clicked back more recordings of immigrant attacks at the #Kuźnica transit today."

On Tuesday, migrants trying to enter Europe clashed with Polish security forces on the border between Belarus and Poland. The Polish army used tear gas and water cannons to disperse irregular migrants trying to enter the buffer zone between Belarus and Poland, and the migrants responded by throwing stones at border guards. At least 2,000 people, including women and children, were trapped in the Belarusian-Polish border area in poor conditions.
