The Wanna Window building supply company welcomed new customers and established clients at its successful inaugural Home Show, held at its Manahawkin site on Route 9 South on Aug. 31.

Wanna Window owners John Barbagallo Sr. and John Barbagallo Jr. said the public’s response to the home show reinforced the company’s plans to expand the show next year.

“A lot of prospective customers had never been here before, and they were impressed with the amount of products that we had, and the quality,” they said.

“All of the vendors were impressed with the turnout,” added Todd Migdon, Wanna Window representative in the Manahawkin office, “and they said it was the best lumberyard home show event that they had been to in a while, with how interested people were in the products.”

The event reached out to homeowners, contractors, builders, developers and architects as a chance to meet with top manufacturers whose products were on display.

Regal Railing was one vendor whose products showed well to attendees who had the chance to look in person. The optional LED lighting packages on this decorative exterior aluminum railing make the rail stand out from the competition, attendees said. Optional glass panels or glass ballasts are available. The products are in stock in Textured Black or Smooth White.

Others showcasing the latest products, trends, innovations were: VIWINCO – vinyl replacement and new construction windows; Sierra Pacific – replacement and new construction windows; BWI Distribution – Masonite brand wood or composite interior doors and Masonite exterior wood or fiberglass doors; Clubhouse Decking – PVC and composite decking with heat-blocking technology; Garden State Lumber – interior wood moldings, Nu Cedar PVC pre-finished siding; Blue Linx – Royal brand PVC trim, engineered lumber by Anthony PowerBeam; REEB – wood or composite interior doors and Therma-Tru exterior fiberglass doors; Smart Vent – residential and commercial flood vents; spray foam and fiberglass insulation by Wanna Window; steel and wire – Simpson Strong Tie fasteners as well as collated nails for all applications in galvanized metal or stainless steel.

Donations to community organizations were a highlight of the day. The Barbagallos presented $500 checks each to Beach Haven Moose Lodge 1575, accepted by Past President Jerry O’Connor; Manahawkin Elks Lodge 2340, accepted by Exalted Ruler Evelyn D’Antoni; and Stafford Township police, accepted by Officer Zach Halliday. Special thanks went to Stafford Township Police Officer Anthony Vincent for his coordination efforts.

The locally owned and operated Manahawkin Wanna Window site at 158 South Main St. joins the company’s Perth Amboy location, which has been in business since 1995.

Satisfied customers took the opportunity to say they are glad Wanna Window is now in Manahawkin.

“We hit a home run going to Wanna Window when we built our house,” said Marianne and Jimmy Jordan of Beach Haven West. “We bought all our products from them to build a house from outside in. One-stop shopping. We could not be happier.”

“My experience with Wanna Window has surpassed all of my expectations. When we met a year ago, it was at the recommendation of my builder,” said Joseph Angiolillo. “We were rebuilding an old Cape so that we can retire in Manahawkin. We researched several supply houses, and after our meeting, we knew we were in the right hands.”

Angiolillo said that as a father and son team, the Barbagallos took the time to make him and his wife comfortable with their choices, and gave his wife the respect to ease any of her designing concerns. “We are so happy with how our dream home turned out.”

Jay Teitelbaum is a new resident to the Manahawkin area who recently purchased a home that needed some renovations. One of his friends recommended Wanna Windows for decking, some windows that the house needed, and railing. They had used the company and had a great experience.

“I can honestly say working with John Barbagallo and John Barbagallo Jr. was a stress-free experience, Teitelbaum said. “Their recommendations and solutions to some of my much-needed work were a relief and actually saved me money. It was a pleasant surprise that they showed me ways to save money instead of spending more. I highly recommend them for any of their many products that they sell and their professional assistance.”
