TP Vision puts all the meat on the grill as far as televisions are concerned and has officially presented its new flagship models for this year. We talk about the Philips OLED+937 and OLED+907. In addition, it has also made room for its new Smart TV with MiniLED technology: the Philips PML9507. After having presented part of its range at the beginning of the year, now they play the most premium models of the firm.

Among the features of these new televisions, the use of LG’s OLED EX panel with the ability to peak brightness up to 1,300 nitsits well-known Ambilight system, which presents new improvements in its lighting, and a sound section that comes from the hand of Bowers & Wilkins, which makes an appearance again to offer its sound system in the most premium range televisions from Philips.

The firm already presented the Philips OLED807 and OLED707 a few months ago, two of its 4K models with OLED panel technology that stood out above all for offering greater brightness thanks to the OLED EX panels, and the use of the Philips sixth-generation P5 processor for image processing and scaling using artificial intelligence. However, these models are surpassed by the two new additions that the firm has recently presented.

On the one hand we have the Philips OLED + 937, a new model that comes in sizes of 65 and 77 inches. Its OLED EX panel means that this television can reach a maximum brightness of up to 1,300 nits. Here we find the same panels that LG mounts with the so-called OLED evo, although of course, with some house brand additions. Also, supports all major HDR formatsthat is, Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ Adaptive and HLG.

One of the already classics in Philips televisions is its Ambilight system, which improves with its new ‘Next generation’ version. Here, instead of dividing the rear LED lighting into groups, the system now allows to control each LED individually for greater precision in lighting. In addition, the new Aurora feature allows you to combine a gallery of predetermined images and videos to get the most out of this synchronized lighting technology.

This model also has a narrower frame and speakers that also act as a support, as they are placed separately in the lower part. These have a Kvadrat Audiomix fabric, with satin and perforated metal mesh on each side. In addition, the design of the new remote control also stands out, as it has a backlight that is activated by movement.

The most gamers can also fully enjoy this television. And it is that the panel offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and VRR technologies like G-Sync and FreeSync Premium. Philips accompanies the gaming experience with an adjustment bar to optimize the image on the screen, as well as the VRR Shadow Enhancer function to optimize the panel frequency based on gaming performance.

In sound it does not fall short either, and we are talking about the TV with the best Philips series sound. In this case we have a sound bar located at the bottom of the TV (separately from the panel) from Bowers & Wilkins. Its 5.1.2 channel system offers a total power of 95 W RMSfeaturing dedicated side controllers on both sides for the first time. In terms of software, the firm continues to rely on Android TV as operating system. This means that we can download a multitude of apps from the Google Play Store, send content to the TV from external devices through Google Cast, or use the Google Assistant, among other things.

On a step a little further down we have the OLED+907, which combines image and sound through a sound bar that, although not as powerful as the OLED+937 model, is better integrated into the design of the television, since it has a smaller size. Here we talk about an 80 W 3.1 system also from Bowers & Wilkins. In its design it has a rotating support and a flat plate installed in the center, with a satin finish. Meanwhile, in the lower part, it is where the aforementioned sound bar is integrated, also with Kvadrat Audiomix fabric.

The quality of the panel is exactly identical to its older brother, also featuring OLED EX technology, a maximum light output of up to 1,300 nits, a maximum native frequency of 120 Hzand sizes of 48, 55 and 65 inches. The image is also processed thanks to the Philips sixth generation P5 chip, and Ambilight Next Generation along with Aurora, are also present in this new model. The Smart TV also has all kinds of technologies focused on gaming, that is, VRR, ALLM modes, 120 Hz, and HDR tone mapping. In addition, it is compatible with the main HDR formats, that is, Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+ Adaptive and HLG.

Moving away from OLED technology, Philips has also presented a new proposal within its range of 4K televisions with MiniLED technology. In this way, the Philips PML9507 manifests itself in sizes of 65 and 75 inches, offering a maximum brightness of up to 1,500 nits. In addition, it has a frequency of up to 120 Hz and VRR through G-Sync and FreeSync Premium. Philips advises that all of its televisions are compatible with common HDR formats. In the case of the PML9507 it is also fulfilled, offering Dolby Vision, HDR10+ Adaptive, HDR10 and HLG support.

In this case, we also have the Ambilight Next Generation system, together with the Aurora function to get the most out of it. In terms of sound, this television offers a 2.1 channel system up to 70 W of RMS power, with two pairs of down-firing tweeters, two midrange drivers and a triple-ring subwoofer along with two passive radiators. The PML9507 can also make use of Philips Play-Fi technology to widen the acoustic environment while the sound of dialogue remains fixed to the characters on screen. This TV features a metallic finish and metal bezel with a dedicated speaker strip at the bottom. On the other sides, the edge is reduced to a minimum, also having anodized metal arms for support.

The Philips OLED+937 is available from now at a price of €3,499 for its 65-inch version and €4,799 for the 77-inch model. In the case of the Philips OLED+907, we already have it in stores at a price of €1,799 for the 48-inch model and €1,999 for the 55-inch version. The 65-inch version will land in September at a price of €2,999. Regarding the Philips PML9507, the firm has not detailed when it will be available or prices for their respective sizes.
