A video showing a customer throwing drinks at Whataburger's Driveway employees went viral on the Internet.

Earlier this week, Von Lopez (@vonmarie22) posted the video to TikTok. He wrote: “The customer paid but was short, and was told she was short and angry!” So far, the post has been received Over 5.4 million views and over 700,000 likes.

At the beginning of the 8-second clip—this is a record of the restaurant’s safety video—you can see the employee checking the order screen before bringing the customer's food to the window. Unfortunately, once the window opens, things change dramatically.

Instead of grabbing their food, the customer threw their drink inside, hitting the second employee behind. Then the first employee threw the customer's food into their car and immediately closed the driveway windows.

Lopez explained in a follow-up post that the fierce moments of virality occurred because customers shortened employee expenses when making payments.

According to the post, when customers are told that they still owe money, they "thrown" a dime at the restaurant. In response, the employee threw a dime to the customer, closed the window and continued to work. What happened next was the tossing of drinks.

Of course, this is not the first hot fast food restaurant in recent months.

Earlier this month, an angry customer skipped the Chick-fil-A counter in a viral TikTok video. It is unclear what the man was angry with, but he could be heard screaming: "Give me fucking food."

The video ends with a security guard taking people out of the restaurant.

In November, a customer was photographed splashing hot soup on an employee's face at a Mexican restaurant. The police told Newsweek that the customer was very upset because the soup melted her plastic cover.

The victim was not injured and the attacker was permanently barred from entering the restaurant.

Commenters on the Lopez video praised the employee's handling of the situation.

"The norm matches the energy of the customer," Lovegoodsxv wrote.

"I like the 0 hesitation of throwing the food back. She has been waiting until the day she finally made it. I'm still waiting for that day," Zippi said.

"Girlie did the right thing. She hit the customer's face perfectly," lwrncmonv commented.

Judy Wood added: "Not only did she avoid the cup, but she also made the bag in the car. Good job!!!"
