DXRacer AIR Mesh Gaming Chair Review-Now that I am in my 30s, I often realize that I need to take care of my body more than five years ago. The tricky part about this is being able to maintain my lifestyle while doing this. A good bed plays an important role in this regard. Equally important, if not more important, is to find a seat device that allows you to be fully supported.

The game is no exception. We sit at the desk or the TV several times a week, or even more. This is the space where the DXRacer AIR mesh gaming chair wants to be placed, providing a stylish gaming chair with a more professional appearance. Does AIR strike a balance between professional comfort and gaming needs?

The height of AIR from the seat to the floor is 1 foot 7 inches, or 53.34 cm; the top of the chair reaches 4.5 feet, or 1.4 meters. The chair itself weighs 46.96 lbs (21.3 kg), and the recommended weight that can be supported is 250 lbs (113.4 kg).

It is recommended that the maximum height of a person using a chair is 6 feet 2 inches, or 1.6 meters. Unfortunately, the chair itself can only be raised 2 inches, or about 5 cm, so there is not much room for adjustment in the front of the chair. Therefore, if the feet are flat on the ground, people with longer legs than most people may end up sitting on a chair with their thighs off the chair.

The headrest and lumbar support have their own sliders, which can be adjusted at any time. Obviously, moving the headrest up and down is more challenging, mainly because the slider on which it rests provides greater resistance to help keep the headrest in place. If you want, you can also remove the entire headrest device by unscrewing the frame from the back of the chair.

The lumbar support works in a similar way. The support slides up and down with resistance similar to the headrest until you are leaning against the chair. Then, with the weight of your back resting on it, the lumbar support is fixed between you and the chair frame, holding it in place.

To clarify, when you stand up, the lumbar support does not move on its own, allowing you to set it where you like and forget it. When you lean back to support your waist, it cannot be adjusted.

Unlike the comfort model, AIR uses the mesh type found in many office chairs instead of padded cushions, and the mesh works well. I personally prefer a stronger chair to a padded chair, and the mesh provides a very comfortable level. The mesh is tightened inside the frame, and there is almost no elasticity after sitting inside.

However, when you use it, it does begin to stretch slightly, just fitting your body to better support it without wearing the mesh.

The adaptation period for AIR took me about four days. In addition to the slight grid, there is a piece of rolling support plastic located behind the knee under the grid. I think this is designed as a support so that the mesh will not wear out because your legs and knees are constantly pressed against the front of the chair.

I felt very stiff for the first few days, and after sitting for 10 minutes, it initially bothered my legs. After you use this plastic regularly, it will perfectly support your legs without causing any discomfort due to resistance. Initially, I didn't think I would stick to AIR for too long. Now it is properly broken, and it has become part of the formal work setup where I sit for a long time.

Once when the chair was used, the locking mechanism that prevented the chair from tilting back would release itself. I don't tend to just sit in a chair, but I do stand up in normal daily life. This unlocking only happened once, so it may be a fluke or unique thing of my review unit, but it still happened.

This does raise a question worth mentioning, which may affect people who have different habits from me. Most of the weight of this chair is above the legs, making the top of the chair heavy. If you use the chair like I do and lock it completely, you will not encounter many problems in this regard.

However, if you like to sit in a chair, you can't just throw yourself back with AIR. The 5 legs that extend from the base each extend 10 inches, or 25.4 cm, to create enough anchor points for the upright posture. If you tilt too hard, the AIR may tilt or even fall. It still takes a lot of imbalance to overturn this chair, but it still needs to be kept in mind.

The assembly of AIR took me about half an hour. Unfortunately, I had to assemble my chair in a smaller space, so it took longer. If you have more working space, you won't face the same problem I encountered.

Either way, the chair consists of three main parts: a fully assembled seat, a five-legged base, and a cylinder that connects them. In addition to this, when you attack the chair back to the seat and the base to the seat, the only other main structure you have to do is, but these only require some accompanying bolts. The bolts require the use of a hex screwdriver, but the complete kit comes with its own tools, so AIR is equipped with everything needed to assemble them together.

Now comes the difficult part: the retail price of this chair is usually $499.00, or £372.94. As you progress, taking care of yourself becomes more and more important, but this always comes with a price. Consider your needs in advance, but if you need a supportive, reliable chair and have a way to get one, DXRacer AIR provides you with a back, a two-year warranty for any accessories you buy, and a lifetime warranty for the chair frame.

Like any high-quality product, the DXRacer AIR mesh gaming chair has a short break-in period, allowing the chair to adapt to your body. Once completed, you will no longer need another chair. In fact, if you are like me, despite the high price, you may think of a second job at some point. Just don't think of AIR as a climbing frame, it will fully support you.

DXRacer AIR Mesh gaming chair brings professional display effects to gaming chairs, creating a universal chair suitable for all environments. The cost is high and top-heavy, but the comfort provided by this chair is not worn out. Don’t be surprised if you eventually want to use it elsewhere.
