The new 2022 GSX-S1000GT+ intelligently combines the championship performance of its GSX-R1000-based engine with a flexible and lightweight chassis to provide riders with an exciting and comfortable GT riding experience. This Grand Tourer has sports bike-level features, avant-garde styling, truly practical integrated side cases, and a wide range of optional equipment functions.

The GSX-S1000GT+ is not just an upgraded version of the previous generation GSX-S1000F, it satisfies the transformation that performance-conscious travel enthusiasts desire, whether it is a long-distance trip with passengers or a single zigzag asphalt belt enjoying sports. The performance of the GSX-S1000GT+ is stunning and its appearance is breathtaking. The new Suzuki mySPIN connection application integrated in the full-color TFT dashboard provides easy access to contacts, maps, music and phone communications.

The 999cc four-stroke liquid-cooled DOHC in-line four-cylinder engine adopts the long-stroke GSX-R engine architecture, which can provide stable and consistent power in its wide power range. This enhances the riding experience, whether it is at the low to mid-range engine speeds commonly used in daily riding, or the mid-to-high range used for long-distance driving on the highway. Refined and controllable performance is managed by Suzuki Intelligent Driving System (SIRS) technology, including electronic cruise control, traction control* and clutch-less quick shifts, so passing slower traffic is an opportunity, not a challenge.

The double-beam aluminum frame and the rear rocker arm supported by the superbike help provide flexible handling and excellent grip, allowing for long-distance driving. The new lattice subframe design is visually stunning, creating a safe connection point for the large-capacity 36L side box, while providing a thicker and more comfortable passenger seat. The cargo capacity and suspension control of the GSX-S1000GT+ can be flexibly adapted to each new destination, thanks to its fully adjustable inverted KYB front fork and easy-to-adjust rear shock. Dual dual** with ABS, radial mounting, four pistons, Brembo front brake calipers and 310 mm floating rotor provide the controlled stopping performance needed to make two trips confidently.

Comfort is essential for driving miles with ease, and the GSX-S1000GT+ is ready for your next long-distance ride. The cast aluminum handlebar of GT+ is set behind the windshield developed in the wind tunnel. It is wider than the previous GSX-S1000F handlebar. Its shape and position can provide a comfortable touch, provide proper leverage, and guide on any road. GSX-S1000GT+. The special rubber bracket of the handlebar can reduce the vibration of the rider's hand, and all the pedals are equipped with durable rubber pads to reduce the vibration of the rider's and passenger's boots. The rider and passenger seats adopt a new sports design to maximize the comfort of long-distance riding, and both use new covering materials to strike a balance between grip and freedom of movement. The shape of the rider's seat further expands the freedom of movement, while the rear seat design maximizes the comfort of the passengers and is perfectly integrated with the new armrest design.

GSX-S1000GT+ brings a new look to sports travel performance and comfort. The striking original face of GT+ starts with a slanted nose, and a pair of horizontally arranged LED headlights, V-shaped position lights, new mirror design and side-mounted LED turn signals create the unique Suzuki Grand Touring appearance. GT+’s bold styling continues Into the standard side box and optional travel windshield for a fully integrated look. The two available body colors for GT+ are the majestic metallic reflective blue and the popular glass flash black, combined with the unique GT logo, identifying the 2022 GSX-S1000GT+ as the best road companion for motorcycles.

Ready to diverge, the full fairing brings new standards in aerodynamics and rider wind resistance to the sport touring category. Dual single-focus LED headlights and V-shaped LED outline lights create a distinctive appearance and excellent lighting effects. Regardless of whether it is equipped with a standard side box or an optional travel windshield, the new interpretation of the Grand Tourer by GSX-S1000GT+ has set a new standard for this category.

GSX-S1000GT+ is the first Suzuki motorcycle equipped with a full thin film transistor or TFT display. The large 6.5-inch TFT panel is easy to read in any light conditions, and its format allows the rider to easily adjust many of the bike's SIRS functions. The team also launched for the first time Suzuki's mySPIN connection application, which can seamlessly connect to a smartphone for easy access to contacts, maps, music, and phone communications.

The 999cc, GSX-R-based engine that meets global emission standards increases peak power and has powerful torque in the low and medium range. It is smoothly controlled by the new wire-controlled electronic throttle body to bring a grand travel experience. That is extraordinary .

The upright ergonomic design provides excellent control and comfort, while the double-beam aluminum frame and fully adjustable KYB suspension provide controllable handling. ** Brembo Monobloc brake calipers with ABS have dual floating brake rotors that provide controlled braking force.

The latest version of the Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) provides smooth gear shifts and engine braking, while the new two-way quick shift system allows your clutch hands to rest. The hybrid throttle system and precise electronic cruise control increase the comfort of the right hand.

The latest version of the Suzuki Intelligent Driving System (SIRS) includes a three-mode Suzuki driving mode selector, an updated five-mode advanced traction control system*, a two-way quick shift system, and the popular easy start and low-speed assist system.

Choose metallic reflective blue or the popular glass bright black paint scheme-each with the new identity of the motorcycle's new Grand Touring leader.

The final specifications including color options are subject to change.

*The traction control system cannot replace the rider's throttle control. When the rider enters a turn and/or applies the brakes, it cannot prevent the loss of traction due to excessive speed. It also does not prevent the front wheels from losing grip.

**Depending on road conditions, such as wet, loose or uneven roads, the braking distance of a vehicle equipped with ABS may be longer than that of a vehicle not equipped with ABS. ABS cannot prevent wheel slip caused by braking when turning. Please ride carefully and don't rely on ABS too much.

Engine characteristics GSX-S1000GT's long-stroke GSX-R engine has been improved to produce a wide and smooth torque curve throughout the speed range and increase peak horsepower.

GSX-S1000GT provides predictable and controllable throttle response, has a wealth of high-end power, and provides riders with an exciting riding experience. The new camshaft profile reduces lift and valve overlap, which not only improves emissions, but also balances engine performance and driving performance, while enhancing rider control.

The new valve spring is calibrated for the new camshaft to improve performance and durability. The cam chain tensioner and tension adjuster have been updated to reduce friction and improve durability.

Suzuki’s legendary Twin Swirl Combustion Chamber (TSCC) design is machined into the cylinder head, which together with the flat-top piston achieves an optimal compression ratio of 12.2:1, helping to provide a wide range of power distribution throughout the speed range .

The aluminum piston is designed by finite element method (FEM) analysis and cast to obtain the best stiffness and weight.

The ventilation holes between the cylinders reduce pumping losses in the crankcase, so the engine can provide more power and torque. The Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM) coated cylinder integrated in the upper part of the crankcase reduces friction and improves heat transfer and durability. The engine shell finish presents a strong image of quality, while the design of the engine cover (clutch, stator and drive sprocket) has been updated with new shapes and finishes.

GSX-S1000GT uses a new electronic throttle body, so the engine response is smooth and controllable, especially when the rider uses the throttle to accelerate out of a corner.

These wire-controlled throttle bodies provide precise control of the Suzuki Driving Mode Selector (SDMS), Traction Control (TC) and Two-Way Quick Shift System (QS). The long-tipped 10-hole injector on each throttle body improves fuel atomization, and the automatic idle speed control (ISC) improves cold start and stabilizes engine idle speed. The air filter adopts a new internal structure, which helps GSX-S1000GT improve engine performance while maintaining the famous and exciting air intake sound of GSX-S1000.

The external shape of the air filter has been changed to accommodate a larger capacity fuel tank (5.0 US gallons). Retaining the chassis design, sharp appearance and exciting notes of the previous generation GSX-S1000F system, the new stainless steel 4-2-1 exhaust system of the GSX-S1000GT has been completely redesigned and adjusted.

Behind the main pipe, the redesigned middle chamber contains a second catalytic converter to help ensure emission compliance, a low center of gravity, and good exhaust flow to help the engine provide a strong mid-to-low-range impact with exciting impact. To the red line. The exquisite Suzuki Exhaust Tuning (SET) valve manages the flow from the middle chamber to the muffler, while the engraved muffler has a pleasing appearance, which is uncommon for exhaust under the chassis and produces an exciting unique sound that will not Overwhelm the senses of riders and passengers.

Since the catalytic converter is located in the middle cavity, GSX-S1000GT riders can install EPA or CARB-compliant mufflers from suppliers such as Yoshimura R & D in the United States. The digital ignition ignites the iridium spark plug, which improves the spark intensity and combustion efficiency, helps to increase the power, more linear throttle response, easier engine start and more stable idle speed. The service life of these high-quality components is also longer than traditional spark plugs.

The lower fairing and radiator guard effectively guide the cooling air to the large-capacity, curved radiator.

When riding in slow-moving traffic, the thermostatically controlled cooling fan helps to ensure a low coolant temperature. The design can also quickly divert hot air away from the rider. By using light and compact liquid-cooled oil coolers (such as those used on some GSX-R models), additional heat can be removed from the engine.

The transmission characteristics are the same as the GSX-R1000. The GSX-S1000GT’s six-speed, race-proven, small transmission ratio has vertical staggered shafts to reduce the overall length of the engine.

The precise gearshift linkage helps the rider to easily and quickly select the best gear for the riding conditions.

The new rotation sensor sends the shifter movement data to the ECM, so the two-way quick shift system can accurately respond to the rider's movements. This new design provides a precise shift feel on the shift lever, and because it is located on the engine, it reduces the chance of tipping damage. The shift cam, shift shaft and clutch release cam have also been modified to support the functions of the new two-way quick shift system.

GSX-S1000GT is equipped with the latest version of Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) clutch. There are more SCAS clutches than ever before, increasing disc pressure when accelerating, but acting as a slip clutch to smooth engine response during engine braking and entering corners.

This large-diameter, wet-type, multi-disc clutch uses a precise cable release device to provide the rider with a light pull while having an excellent friction point feel. The powerful 525 drive chain uses O-rings to maintain internal lubrication, so it can transmit power smoothly and quietly.

Chassis features Suzuki's tried-and-tested double-beam aluminum frame helps ensure flexible handling and excellent grip. The main spar is positioned directly from the steering head to the rocker arm pivot, thereby improving rigidity and reducing weight.

The sturdy aluminum rear swingarm comes directly from the GSX-R1000 and is sturdy and durable, helping to ensure excellent grip while enhancing the appearance of its modern superbike.

Connected to the rocker arm is a link-type rear suspension with a single shock absorber, with seven-way adjustable spring preload and rebound damping force adjustment.

The 43 mm inverted KYB fork has adjustable compression and rebound damping, plus spring preload adjustment, and the front wheel travel is 120 mm (4.7 inches).

Like the front forks and shock absorbers installed on the GSX-S1000 sports car, the suspension spring stiffness and damping force settings are specifically adjusted for the GSX-S1000GT+.

The TRP six-spoke lightweight cast aluminum wheels unique to the GSX-S1000 model look great and help improve the agile handling and sports performance of the bicycle.

Similar to the tires installed on the 2022 GSX-S1000 sports car, Dunlop’s new Roadsport 2 radial tires (120/70ZR17 at the front and new and wider 190/50ZR17 at the rear) are custom-designed to perform on the GSX The best performance-S1000GT+, provides excellent grip, faster warm-up and longer tread life in dry or wet conditions.

These wheels and new tires are coordinated with the revised front and rear suspension settings to help achieve the excellent grip, stability and flexible handling required for sporty performance, while also helping to provide a comfortable ride.

Dual front brakes with fully floating 310 mm brake discs and Brembo Monobloc calipers, with four 32 mm opposed pistons, provide powerful and consistent braking power when riding single or tandem.

The front brakes are equipped with 240 mm rear disc brakes with Nissin single-piston calipers to help ensure controlled stopping.

Both front and rear brakes can be adjusted by the new compact Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)** controller to match the braking force with the available traction.

Compared with the upcoming GSX-S1000F, the new GSX-S1000GT+ has a more upright riding posture, which provides greater comfort and control.

This reasonable sports travel riding posture is the result of careful design between the handlebars, pedals and seats. This riding posture helps the rider to easily manipulate the front end of the motorcycle.

The new matte black tapered cast aluminum handlebar helps achieve excellent riding ergonomics and performance-oriented style.

The handlebar is firmly clamped in the floating mount, effectively suppressing the vibration of the rider's hand. The new handlebars are 23 mm (0.90 inches) wider than the previous generation GSXS-S1000F, and rotate slightly upwards to increase the grip height relative to the rider.

The aluminum nails of the rider and passenger pedals are covered with vibration-absorbing rubber. This reduces the amount of vibration transmitted to the feet, thereby improving comfort, especially when riding long distances.

Both pairs of footrests are located in a lower position, reducing the bending of the knees and ankles of the rider and passengers, and further improving the comfort. When installing the side box, the position of the rear footrest provides sufficient clearance for the passenger's legs.

The rider and passenger seats adopt a new sports design to maximize the comfort of long-distance riding. Both have a new weather-resistant covering material that balances grip and freedom of movement.

The shape of the rider's seat further expands the freedom of movement, while the rear seat design maximizes the comfort of the passengers and is perfectly integrated with the new armrest design that does not invade the seat area.

The passenger seat is set to be 2.3 inches (60 mm) higher than the rider's seat to provide a good view of the rider's shoulders.

Rider seat height: 31.9 inches (810 cm); passenger seat height of approximately 870 cm (34.2 inches)

The black finishes on the gear lever, rear brake and two handles match the performance characteristics of the motorcycle.

The front brake lever has a multi-stage adjuster, which can quickly adjust the distance between the brake lever and the handle.

Body and styling features The new shape of the upper and lower fairing effectively removes the wind from the rider, reducing direct pressure on the rider's helmet, shoulders and knees.

Wind tunnel testing and feedback from the test rider produced a special chainstay cover that extends up into the fairing to deflect the airflow, which would otherwise hover around the dashboard and rider.

Most of the aerodynamic efficiency of the GSX-S1000GT+ comes from the new windshield, which is designed to maximize the protection of riders and passengers from the wind, thereby enhancing the Grand Touring experience.

The shape and position of the windshield allow most riders to see from the upper edge, and the wind tunnel of the windshield develops a shape to keep the airflow away from the rider. The folded edges of the windshield also increase comfort, which reduces the airflow that would normally press on the rider's shoulders. A certain amount of airflow under the windshield will form a smooth air envelope, benefiting both riders and passengers.

The optional travel windshield is 2.75 inches (70 mm) higher than the installed standard windshield. This taller screen also arches forward, further reducing the airflow for riders and passengers.

The optional travel windshield was developed together with the standard screen to ensure that its appearance and functions are properly integrated with the GSX-S1000GT+. Although large windshields are usually formed by hot stamping, this type of windshield is injection-molded, so its special shape can be achieved through optimized optical quality.

The aerodynamic performance and wind protection affected the design of the new fairing-mounted rearview mirrors and rearview mirror rods. The shape of the head and rod streamline the air passing through the rearview mirror, reducing the amount of air reaching the rider's hand.

The height and position of the rearview mirror are carefully set so that the rider can easily move his sight from the road, rearview mirror or dashboard.

GT+'s large-capacity side box is designed with a spacious storage capacity, which can clamp the motorcycle in a few seconds. The compact design is seamlessly integrated with the sharp and futuristic style of the motorcycle.

With 36 liters (1.27 cubic feet) of storage space and 5 kg (11 lb) load capacity, each side box can hold most full face helmets. The painted panel on the side cover integrates the suitcase with the motorcycle, perfectly matching the body color of the GSX-S1000GT+. The side box lock accepts the motorcycle's ignition key to open the luggage or disengage from the quick release mechanism. The side box mounting hardware is black and inconspicuous, so when the side box is not installed, the mounting hardware will not detract from the sporty appearance of the motorcycle. The fuel tank capacity of the new GSX-S1000GT+ has been increased to 19 liters (5.0 US gallons) to reduce the frequency of refueling when traveling or commuting.

The previous GSX-S1000F had a fuel tank capacity of 17.0 liters (4.5 US gallons).

The styling goal of the new GSX-S1000GT+ is to visually express the performance potential, comfort and fun of this true luxury touring motorcycle. At the same time, the appearance of GT is designed to convey the sophistication and sophistication of Suzuki motorcycles, which provide advanced rider support tools such as SIRS and mySPIN.

From design concepts to wind tunnel adjustments, the sharp lines, new front face and aerodynamic appearance of the GSX-S1000GT+ all demonstrate the sporting soul of this GT machine.

The eye-catching new face of GT combines the prominent fairing nose with a pair of small-diameter, horizontally arranged LED headlights to create the iconic appearance of the Suzuki Grand Tourer. The fairing includes a suitable lower fairing whose style and shape can manage the airflow through the radiator and deflect the wind for riders and passengers. These front styling elements are combined with the new seat design, slender tail and short and compact muffler design to create a stylish and powerful image, emphasizing the strength of GT as a high-performance motorcycle, not only built for speed, but also Built for extended comfort and riding pleasure, the same. The standard side case and optional travel windshield are designed at the same time as the basic motorcycle, so after installation, they present an overall appearance.

The new GSX-S1000GT+ brings a pair of new body color options:

Metallic Reflective Blue (QT8): A dark blue with a luxurious glossy finish that enhances the pride of ownership. This color represents the beautiful night sky that riders might expect to enjoy when escaping the city during a long journey. Glass Sparkle Black (YVB): The iconic Suzuki scheme. The combination of bright black and pure black expresses the exquisite finish and luxury of GT. The final specifications including color options are subject to change.

The new and unique "GT" logo on both sides of the fairing gives a smart and refined appearance suitable for luxury station wagons. The new low-profile Suzuki logo on the fuel tank also contributes to the refined appearance.

The custom-designed ignition key has a special gold lettering GT logo on its grip to add a sense of luxury and aims to instill pride in this new model.

The electric and lighting function oil-cooled three-phase charging system provides sufficient power for the GSX-S1000GT+ maintenance-free battery and ride-enhancing electronic equipment.

Suzuki's simple start system only needs to touch the start button to start the engine (if the transmission is in neutral, there is no need to pull the clutch lever).

The GSX-S1000GT+ computer local area network (CAN) wiring harness does not use the more complex and slower traditional wiring harness, but is used as an interconnected information network.

The CAN wiring system enables the various sensors and microcontrollers of the motorcycle to communicate with each other almost instantly. With fewer wires, CAN wiring makes the GSX-S1000GT+ lighter and simpler, while providing a way to communicate with ECM faster for advanced components such as the TFT instrument panel, electronic throttle body and two-way quick shifter. The new 32-bit ECM provides the most advanced engine management, which facilitates the operation and optimization of the electrical and SIRS components of the GSX-S1000GT+.

Suzuki Intelligent Driving System (SIRS) Function The Suzuki Driving Mode Selector (SDMS) provides riders with three different engine power output modes. All three modes provide maximum engine output, but provide different throttle response and torque characteristics when accelerating.

These three modes (A, B and C) provide a quick and easy way for the rider to change the power transmission characteristics of the GSX-S1000GT to match his or her riding style, or to adapt to changing weather, roads and other condition. Mode A (active) is used for active, sporty use, and provides the sharpest throttle response when the rider opens the throttle. The torque characteristics of Mode A have been fine-tuned to provide exciting acceleration when actively opening the throttle, such as when participating in a track day event or enjoying sports on a clean, winding road in clear weather. Mode B (basic) is suitable for general all-round riding, because when the rider opens the throttle, it has a softer throttle response and a more linear power transmission curve. This mode is designed to be an ideal setting for traveling, to make the bike more controllable, and to instill confidence in the rider when accelerating, and is ideal for all riding styles and road conditions. Mode C (comfort) provides a softer throttle response and gentler torque characteristics. As the throttle is opened, the power increases in a direct linear manner. This mode is useful when riding on wet or slippery roads, or when the rider wants to ride home easily and comfortably after a long outing. Using the mode and selector switch on the left handlebar, the rider can change the SDMS mode while riding. The mode setting is clearly displayed on the TFT LCD dashboard. The five-mode Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) continuously monitors the front and rear wheel speed, engine speed, throttle position and gear to adjust engine output to prevent accidental rear wheel slippage, while helping to maintain traction and deliver power to the road.

Compared with the three-mode system on the previous generation GSX-S1000F, this updated five-mode STCS version has a wider range of sensitivity options to better adapt to various riding conditions, styles and rider experiences. You can also shut down the system when needed. The higher the mode number, the faster STCS intervenes to limit the speed of the rear wheel slipping. The STCS mode is displayed on the TFT LCD dashboard and can be changed instantly using the left handlebar switch. When the system adjusts the power to prevent wheels from slipping, the TC icon LED on the right edge of the dashboard will light up and flash. The advanced wire-controlled electronic throttle system utilizes the 32-bit ECM and CAN-type harness capabilities of GSX-S1000GT+ to precisely control the engine output related to the throttle action.

This accuracy allows adjustment of the throttle body action to best match each SDMS mode. The result is a controllable linear power output that faithfully responds to the rider's intentions, whether he or she is commuting or enjoying sports riding on winding roads. When using the two-way rapid shift system, the electronic control of the throttle helps to achieve smooth shifts and enables the cruise control system to provide precise speed control when engaged. The two-way quick shift system (QS) allows GSX-S1000GT+ riders to quickly and easily upshift or downshift without having to operate the clutch or throttle.

To ensure a smooth upshift, QS automatically interrupts power delivery for just enough time to produce smooth, almost uninterrupted acceleration. When decelerating, the system will automatically open the throttle to increase the speed and match the engine speed with the next lower gear. The result is that this hands-free, automatic function is seamlessly combined with engine braking to create a very satisfying experience when downshifting. Two-way QS and SDMS work seamlessly, bringing greater riding pleasure to riders. The performance of the new SACS-type auxiliary slip clutch of GSX-S1000GT+ ensures smoother upshifts and downshifts when using QS or manual clutch operation. The new rotation sensor sends the shifter movement data to the ECM, so the two-way fast shifting system can accurately respond to the rider's movements. The cruise control (CC) of the GSX-S1000GT+ is a convenient new system that allows the rider to maintain a set speed without operating the throttle. This helps reduce fatigue during long-distance travel, especially when driving at a constant speed on the highway.

The main cruise control button is located on the right handlebar switch. When riding in 2nd gear or higher, the cruise control can be set between 18 mph (30 km/h) and 110 mph (180 km/h). The selected setting appears on the TFT LCD meter screen in a clear green font, below the digital speedometer reading. After activation, you can use the (up or down) selector switch on the left handlebar to easily adjust the cruising speed up or down. The convenient "recovery function" re-enables the system after cancellation to smoothly accelerate to the latest speed setting. The Suzuki Easy Start system allows the rider to start the motorcycle by simply pressing the start button. When the gearbox is in neutral, there is no need to pull in the clutch lever, and the starter motor will automatically disengage at the moment the engine is ignited.

The low RPM assist system seamlessly increases the engine speed to provide power smoothly when starting from a standing position or driving at low speeds, which helps ensure better control and operation in stop-and-go traffic. The system also minimizes the possibility of the rider stopping the motorcycle during takeoff.

Additional features provide a variety of original Suzuki accessories, of which nearly three dozen are suitable for GSX-S1000GT+.

Accessories products include higher travel windshields, heated handles, billet clutches and brake levers, fuel tank and hood protectors, clip-on fuel tank bags, and a series of unique GT logo clothing.
